The orange line is the spot ratio, blue is the physical ratio and grey is the difference between the two.

Physical Silver Premium Dips Below 50%.

For the first time since the Corona Virus scare hit the headlines, the physical silver premium declined below a 50% premium. It now stands at 49.7%.

The highest physical silver premium occurred on the morning of 4/21/20: 60.64%.

UPDATE: It appears that this low premium was a short-lived event. On the morning of 5/21 the premium jumped back up to 54.40%. It will be interesting to see where it goes from here.

Physical Silver Premium Ends Barely Changed on the Week While Physical Gold Premium Continues to Decline

The physical gold premium spent most of the week below 10%. It briefly moved above 10% on the mornings of 5/11 and 5/13.

The physical silver premium declined to as low as 52.18% on the morning of 10/15 but then climbed to 55.84% by the end of the day as the price of silver increased by almost a full $1.00.

  • The physical premium hit a high on 4/21/20 – $232.27/13.77%
  • On 4/29/20 the premium price fell below $200.00 per ounce and has remained there since.
  • On 4/29/20 the premium percentage fell below 12%.
  • Since 5/6/20 the premium percentage has been below 11%.
  • On 5/10/20 the premium percentage went below 10% and then went back above 10% on the mornings of 5/12/20 & 5/13/20. It is now back below.
